The official website of the 5-toubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) anime series announced on Friday that the previously announced anime project is a television special and revealed the main staff, key visual (pictured), and theme songs. The anime will screen in theaters starting July 14 for a three-week run before airing later in the Summer. Yukihiro Miyamoto (Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, Fate/Extra: Last Encore) is directing the special at Shaft. Keiichirou Oochi (5-toubun no Hanayome) returns to handle the series composition. Pony Canyon is distributing the special. Nakanoke no Itsuzugo, a group composed of the five female lead cast is performing the opening theme "Gotoubun no Mirai" and the ending theme "Takaramono." Tezuka Productions produced the first 12-episode season, which aired during Winter 2019. The second season was produced by Bibury Animation Studios and aired in Winter 2021.
