The Sakura Fes event announced on Saturday that an anime sequel to the Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card) television anime is in production and will adapt the rest of the story until its conclusion. The event also revealed a key visual (pictured). Madhouse animated the original 70-episode television anime series from April 1998 to March 2000. The anime series also received two movies and special episodes. Clear Card-hen premiered in January 2018 and aired for 22 episodes. The anime series adapts CLAMP's sequel manga to the original Cardcaptor Sakura manga, which began serialization on the Nakayoshi magazine in June 2016. Kodansha shipped the 14th volume on March 31.
